Seema delivered a session on Integrative Approaches to Training, Neurodiversity, and Mental Health to the Physiotherapy and Clinical Exercise service at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The session combined clinical theory with her own practice and intervention style, introducing staff to an alternative approach to training grounded in building up to exercise rather than starting with it.
The session also opened a discussion on women's experience of exercise, including how menstruation affects physical ability, broadening the team's clinical perspective and giving them tangible skills to apply in an in-patient mental health setting.
"Seema's session was well received by the department. She was highly receptive of the lived experience of the clinicians who attended."
— Asha Williams, Head of Physiotherapy & Clinical Exercise, SLaM/Maudsley
